Access & Transport
The QMU is easily accessed by both public and private transport.
Buses
The following bus services service Great Western Road: 66, 20 leaving from various points in the City Centre such as Central Station, Hope Street and West Graham Street. The number 44 will also take you to within 100 metres of the QMU along University Avenue coming from Bath Street in the City Centre and heading West towards Hyndland and Knightswood. Trains
The nearest overland train stations are Partick (0.73 miles) and Charing Cross (1.3miles)
Underground
Nearest tube station: Hillhead (Turn left onto Byres Road, then left onto Ashton Lane. The QMU is situated approx 100 metres behind Ashton Lane on University Gardens.
Airport
From Glasgow Airport: Exit onto the M8 towards Glasgow/Edinburgh, come off at Junction 17, turn left onto St Georges Road. Then follow signs right for Woodlands road. Take a left at the roundabout onto Gibson street and then left at the traffic lights onto University Avenue. Follow the road right and University Gardens is approx 500m over the hill on the right hand side.

Parking
Parking is limited on University Gardens and the West End in general. Please allow time to find suitable parking and ensure that local meter restrictions have been adhered to.
Disabled Access
The QMU has full access for disabled customers. This includes a wheelchair ramp at the main entrance, a lift available to all floors, electronic door points and a viewing platform within the venue situated on the balcony.

Cloak Room
Cloak room facilities are available at a price of £1 per item on gig nights.
Cash Machines
There are two cash machines situated in the Qudos Cafe area of the venue on the ground floor. Neither ATM currently charges for standard withdrawals.
Venue Bar
The Glasgow QMU is an 18+ venue with 3 Licensed Bar facilities. The Bars offer snacks, soft drinks and alcohol. The following forms of I.D are required to purchase alcoholic beverages current Driver License, Proof of Age card, current Passport and valid matriculation card.
A number of shows held at the QMU are for 14+ customers. It is necessary on these nights that customers over 18 that wish to drink alcohol purchased at the bars have been wristbanded for easier identification. Under 16’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Management always reserve all rights
