The QM has three bars, each unique in their own way.
Downstairs we have the multi-tasking Qudos, home of top live music sets, dance-offs, MMA bouts, ceilidhs full of craic, posh dinners, student produced theatre, club & society events and our clubnights Cheesy Pop and Quids.
During the summer months, the bar opens up during the day, we'll sling on some music, open the windows and enjoy the sun streaming in through.
Upstairs you're treated to two more bars, serving a range of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks for you to enjoy.
Jim's Bar is our multipurpose venue. Home of the Union's weekly open mic night, Unplugged, and platform for karaoke enthusiasts during Cheesy Pop, Jim's is an integral part of the QM's live music heritage, and yes, that includes your best mate’s dodgy rendition of Come on Eileen. Jim's also hosts New Comedy and New Theatre nights to support local talent, and the QM’s flagship trivia-testing event, the Big Wednesday Night Pub Quiz, takes over the venue every week from 9pm.
Champions’ Bar is the ideal venue for watching sport with your mates. Open until at least 1am all week and during the weekends, you’ll struggle to find a bar serving a cheaper pint, in a better location, and showing as wide a range of sport as you’ll find on the big screen in Champions’.
Champions’ is also known for having the best range of malt whisky you’re likely to find anywhere near Byres Road and you’re unlikely to find a good dram cheaper anywhere in Glasgow.
