This year’s General Election will take place on the 5th of March 2009!It is time to elect the people who will take the QMU into 2010:PRESIDENTHONORARY SECRETARYHONORARY ASSISTANT SECRETARYEVENTS CONVENORSOCIAL CONVENORSUPPORT AND SERVICES CONVENORPUBLICATIONS CONVENORThe Executive and Convenor positions run from July 1 2009 to June 30 the following year.ORDINARY BOARD!The Ordinary Board positions start immediately. Some of these are set aside for current First Years.FORMER STUDENT MEMBERS!On top of this there are two former student member positions open to Life Members.ANY OF THESE POSITIONS COULD BE YOURS!Nomination packs can be collected from reception from 9am on Monday the 23rd of February and must be handed back in by 4pm on Friday 27th February.Any member of the QM can run for any position, though most start on the Ordinary Board where you can learn a bit about what it’s like to run.EVEN IF YOU DECIDE NOT TO RUN:Make sure you read all of the manifestos and choose the best team for what looks to be a challenging year ahead, and make your Union even better next year.Voting takes place in person on March 5 2009 between 9am and 6pm.Thanks guysAlly HunterPresident & Assistant Returning Officer
